They are my entertainment and engineering inspiration. Both fields require programming, because Toby Fox is known for developing games using GameMaker. When I first discovered UNDERTALE, I was truly immersed and fully interested how he made such a cool and story-rich game. That's when my interest in programming started to bear into fruition. On the other side, my dad introduced me to a lot of engineering fields and inspired me to take Electronics and Communications Engineering because I was interested how he can fix electronic devices. I also think it's a useful skill in the age of rising prices, you can be the one to just debug the problem of your phone, for instance.
They are my singing inspiration. Their common trait is that all of them are rappers. At first, when I listen to Filipino rap songs, I always think that they are all MONOTONE. But then I was wrong, because when I first saw Lee Young Ji and MILLI in my Instagram reels, they are absolutely COOKING! The swag, costume, timbre, everything! I want to be like them girls. Then afterwards, I was introduced to Flow G's songs. They were not that monotone at all! Especially the fast-paced but catchable "Rapstar" song. It was easy to learn as a quick rap song because it has a catchy melody, no obvious chorus, and memorable instrumental. Though, his similirity with Gloc-9 is that they are both good storytellers. But Gloc-9's more deep and matalinhaga but monotonous in melody.
They are a crucial part of my life even if they don't know it. One time, they were our coach for an innovative robotics contest and it had to include a research paper and a fully developed product. When we won fourth place, I was amazed and happy. Years later after that event, it sparked something inside me. I wanted to develop my own projects too! I want to be the one to write it all up in the paper. Progress, impacts, target market. And not just that! I want to also be the one to come up with the project idea and I want it to have an actual and useful purpose to society. It's like making your own toys but with a prize.
